As CMS continues to evolve to meet the needs of students, families, and the workforce, this session will provide valuable insight into current priorities, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future of public education.

We are pleased to welcome School Board Representative Chalitta Hatch (District 1) as our featured speaker. Mrs. Hatch brings a strong commitment to student success, community engagement, and educational equity. Focus Friday is a public policy program of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce that examines community and legislative issues from multiple perspectives. Held monthly, these events feature discussions led by local leaders, policymakers, and experts on topics such as economic development, public safety, and community planning. Focus Friday provides a platform for members and guests to engage in meaningful dialogue, gain insights into regional initiatives, and stay informed about matters affecting the Lake Norman area. The program is presented by Novant Health - Huntersville Medical Center and sponsored by Business Today and WSIC 105.9 FM.
