Awareness Builds Stronger Communities
Substance use can affect individuals, families, workplaces and entire communities—often in ways that are difficult to recognize or discuss. Greater awareness helps replace fear and misunderstanding with informed, compassionate action.
Join Samanda Stevenson, LCMHCS, LCAS, CCS, NCC, and Joshua Zummo, MS, LCMHC, LCAS-A, for THC-The Wild West, a timely Lunch & Learn exploring THC and substance-use awareness, the realities of substance-use disorders, and how each of us can respond more effectively when someone may be struggling.
What You’ll Take Away
Recognize the Signs
Better understand behaviors and changes that may indicate someone is struggling.
Understand Addiction
Explore substance-use disorders as complex health conditions—not failures of character or willpower.
Start the Conversation
Learn how thoughtful language can reduce stigma and open the door to help.
Know the Next Step
Identify constructive ways to respond and connect individuals and families with support.
Who Should Attend?
This community-focused program is valuable for anyone who wants to better understand substance use and respond with greater knowledge and compassion, including:
