Bill Russell, President & CEO of the Lake Norman Chamber, stated “The Chamber is a nonpartisan organization which does not support or endorse political candidates though we do believe in the principles of good government. We were pleased to invite Josh Stein the Democratic Candidate and our Attorney General in May and now our Lt Governor and Republican Candidate August 15th Mark Robinson to provide their vision for our state. The strength of our community and nation lies in our ability to appreciate the differences in our views, and while we may not always agree, it is our diversity of thought that makes America stand apart from the other nations of the world. We thank our sponsors for supporting the chamber as we provide forums where people from all different perspectives have the opportunity to exchange their views and in the end – voters can make their own informed decisions.”

Mark Robinson is the first black Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. Since taking office in 2021, he’s been a champion for lower taxes, boosting career and vocational training, giving parents a stronger voice in their kids’ education, and supporting law enforcement to make our streets safer. Lt. Gov. Robinson is a father, grandfather and former factory worker who served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a medical specialist. He lives in Greensboro, NC with his wife Yolanda and they are blessed to have two children, and two grandchildren
