November Focus Friday to Focus on Organized Retail Theft
Friday, November 15th 8:30 Program to be "In-Person" Only
This month’s Focus Friday will feature the Lake Norman region’s largest retail business - Lowe’s Companies is joined by the Davidson and Huntersville Police Departments in a discussion of organized retail theft. The program will be held Friday, November 15th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the Lake Norman Chamber 19900 West Catawba Avenue in Cornelius. This is an in-person meeting and is LIMITED to the first 35 Chamber Members who register. It WILL NOT be recorded or available virtually.
Todd Isenhour, Senior Director of Investigations and Fraud Prevention for Lowe’s Companies Inc. will be the featured speaker. Todd will be joined by Corporal A.J. Heitmann with the Davidson Police Department and Huntersville P.D. Sergeant Maizul Cobeo.
Issenhour has over 30 years of retail experience and has held leadership roles in asset protection, operations and human resources. Todd has been with Lowes for 17 years and in his current position oversees Lowe’s enterprise-wide fraud prevention program, investigations, organized retail crime strategy and the background process which includes Lowe’s Bright & Blue Futures 2nd chance program.
Corporal AJ Heitmann currently works in the Criminal Investigations Division (CID). He has been with the Department for six years and previously worked in the areas of private investigations and prison rehabilitation. Given that Davidson's organizational structure is smaller than some, he is one of two Detectives in the Department. Although both Detectives investigative crimes of all nature, AJ leans more towards the Fraud and Financial offenses. He is proud that Davidson Police Department continues to have strong relationships with the small businesses in the Lake Norman area along with the larger commercial retailers.
Sergeant Maizul Cobeo started her LEO career in Asheville, NC in 2014. Sgt Cobeo joined HPD in 2020 as a patrol officer. During her first 2 years she was assigned to a night shift squad. In 2022, Cobeo was promoted to the rank of sergeant and remained on patrol until her transfer to general investigations in 2023. This year, Sgt Cobeo was assigned to special investigations and now over sees all of our undercover, narcotics, violent felony crimes.
Beth Cashion, 2024 Chamber Public Policy Chair, will emcee the program.
