Long-Awaited New Residential & Retail Property Holds Grand Opening In Downtown Huntersville
Mixed-Use Development Ignites New Energy In North Mecklenburg
A once-thriving area, which sat dormant for many years, is now the site of the largest financial investment in the history of downtown Huntersville. The Holbrook at Town Center held its grand opening and ribbon cutting event on April 9. This project is poised to reshape a vital part of this North Mecklenburg community by attracting new businesses and residents. It is located next to Discovery Place Kids, near the intersection of Gilead Road and Old Statesville Road.
The Holbrook at Town Center is now leasing approximately 9,000 square feet of retail space and 186 residences, including apartments, townhomes and single-family dwellings. The ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration gave prospective residents and business owners the chance to see the newly constructed project for the first time. Attendees also included the team who worked diligently to execute the vision, local business leaders, and town officials.
“The Town of Huntersville is very excited about the grand opening of The Holbrook at Town Center,” said Christy Clark, mayor of Huntersville. “This dynamic new community is essential to the revitalization of our downtown district and will be a cornerstone of future growth for our town.”
Businesses in The Holbrook at Town Center are expected to open near the end of the year and early 2026. The Corkscrew Wine Shoppe, a local favorite gathering place previously located in Birkdale Village, signed the first retail lease at The Holbrook at Town Center, followed by B + Co, an established hair salon. Three additional new businesses will soon be announced.
“As a Huntersville native, this project is really special to me,” says Shane Seagle, Founder and Partner of North State Development, the local real estate development firm that made an unprecedented financial investment in the heart of historic Huntersville. “We recognized the potential of this property, we listened to the community, and now The Holbrook at Town Center is already bringing new energy and growth to this part of Huntersville.”
