The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce welcomes Brett Hicks back on staff beginning January 4, 2024.

In Brett's words, "I am a native of the Charlotte Region, having grown up in the Lake Norman area. I graduated from Appalachian State University and kick-started my professional journey in Cornelius by joining the staff of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce in 1994. In my career, I have gained valuable experience in both commercial and residential real estate markets within the area, as well as in planning and development for local municipal and county governments. Beyond my professional endeavors, I have actively participated in several community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Rotary, Kiwanis Club, and Christian ministries. My strong commitment to our community and its residents drives me to be a responsible and contributing member. Moreover, I am a devout attendee of Davidson United Methodist Church."

Brett added, "I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to once again serve our region as a representative with the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce. It is truly a privilege and an honor to continue my career in a place that holds such sentimental value for me. I am grateful to have a remarkable family and the chance to pursue my passion."

Bill Russell, President & CEO of the Chamber is extremely excited with the addition of Brett to the Chamber staff. "Brett served as a sales team manager and realtor for Allen Tate Realtors as well worked with Lincolnton as a Downtown Development Association Executive Director. As a long time Cornelius resident and former staff member, he is extremely knowledgeable of our regional communities and the chamber of commerce product. We are extremely fortunate to have Brett join our team."
