Lake Norman Chamber Recognizes Outstanding Service and Innovation at Annual Meeting
Cornelius, NC – March 25, 2026 – The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce honored additional outstanding leaders and initiatives during its Annual Gala held Thursday, March 19 at The Peninsula Club in Cornelius. The event brought together approximately 200 business and community leaders to celebrate excellence across the region.
The Lake Norman Chamber Carbon Ambassador of the Year Award was presented to Wyatt Outerbridge of New York Life Insurance Company for his continued commitment to member engagement and relationship-building within the Chamber.
Two outgoing members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors were also recognized for their service: Rod Beard of Charlotte Payroll and Karen Tovar of The Tovar Group. Both were thanked for their leadership, dedication, and contributions to advancing the Chamber’s mission.
The Starrette Service Award, presented annually to the Chamber’s Outstanding Board Member of the Year, was awarded to Stacie Bright of Advanced Wealth Strategies. Bright was recognized for her exceptional leadership, active involvement, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the organization and its impact.
The Chamber also named Alex Kuz of BoatDoctor as its Volunteer of the Year, honoring his significant contributions of time and energy in support of Chamber programs and events. His enthusiasm and dedication exemplify the volunteer spirit that drives the Chamber forward.
Rounding out the evening, the Lake Norman Chamber AI Summit was recognized as Project of the Year. The summit has quickly become a signature event, equipping business leaders with practical insights into artificial intelligence and its growing role in marketing, workforce development, and business innovation.
