Lake Norman Chamber Foundation hosts “Thanksgiving Breakfast” to benefit local childcare
Breakfast benefits YMCA Pre & After School and Cornelius Early Scholars programs
The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the chamber, will host a “Thanksgiving Breakfast” on Tuesday November 12th at The Peninsula Club in Cornelius. The event is Presented by The Giving with Grace Foundation and benefits the Lake Norman YMCA Pre and After School and Cornelius Early Scholars programs. The Breakfast takes place 7:30 to 9:30 am.
The Lake Norman Chamber Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Its purpose is to support the community of Lake Norman through activities and organizations whose purposes are beneficial to those who live or work in that community. It has been most recently involved in the Hurricane Helene Relief effort.
Robert “Bob” McIntosh, Managing Partner of The McIntosh Law Firm and Vice Chair of the Foundation, states, ““As we rebuild from the pandemic and all its challenges as well as prepare for what the next decade will require of us as business leaders, our most critical need will be the successive generation of leadership. The parents who will raise that generation have most of the responsibility, as they should, but they are also our current employees, managers, customers, and succession plans. Proper and affordable childcare is of paramount importance to them; and therefore, it must be to us. Their ability to support our businesses is directly related to their ability to be both exceptional parents and the framework we need to support our businesses.”
McIntosh adds, “and that next generation they are raising will support our businesses and lead our communities which makes them yet another invaluable resource to us. That alone is why it is imperative that we support local affordable childcare in our community – our local commerce depends on it.”
Single tickets, which are $125pp, are available online at the Chamber’s website at LakeNormanChamber.org or by calling 705-892-1922. Sponsorships are still available, and donations will be accepted.
