Giving with Grace Foundation Awards $250,000 in Grants to Local Nonprofits at Gifting Luncheon

Foundation created by Lake Norman Couple - Robin and Jack Salzman

Giving with Grace Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to fostering kindness and compassion within our community, proudly announced the recipients of its annual grant program during a momentous Gifting Luncheon.

Ten esteemed nonprofit organizations were awarded $25,000 each, totaling an impactful $250,000 contribution to support their invaluable work in our local Lake Norman community. The foundation’s core mission revolves around reflecting, repaying, and reinforcing kindness and compassion by providing essential support to nonprofit entities. Through a rigorous submission process, the foundation identified ten deserving organizations that displayed exceptional dedication and commitment to creating positive change within our community.

Hope House Foundation, Youth Villages, Happy Tails Rescue, California Wildlife Conservation Center, Cliffords Army Rescue Extravaganza, Feed NC, Anson County Animal Shelter, Dove House, Holy Angels, and Humane Society of Union County emerged as the recipients of this year's $25,000 grants, selected for their outstanding contributions and innovative approaches to addressing critical issues in our community. In a surprise presentation, David Parkins was honored with a Community Appreciation Award and $5,000 for his work in transporting animals for many rescues and shelters in our community.

"The Gifting Luncheon serves as a celebration of the tireless efforts and remarkable achievements of these ten exceptional organizations," said Robin Smith Salzman, Founder of Giving with Grace Foundation. "Their unwavering commitment to creating meaningful change truly embodies the spirit of compassion and generosity that our foundation aims to cultivate."

The grant recipients represent a diverse range of causes, including but not limited to animal welfare, children, and women in need. Each organization has demonstrated a profound impact on our community, positively influencing the lives of those they serve. The Gifting Luncheon held December 6, 2023, at The Peninsula Yacht Club, provided an opportunity for philanthropists, community leaders, and supporters to come together and celebrate the collective efforts dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals across our community.
