Focus Friday with United States Congressman Dan Bishop - 9th Congressional District

This month’s Focus Friday will feature United States Congressman Dan Bishop - 9th Congressional District. The program will be held Friday, October 20th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. This is a virtual meeting and members are asked to contact the Chamber for Zoom credentials at 704-892-1922 or email Bill Russell at Russell@lakenormanchamber.org Congressman Bishop will offer a perspective on Washington as well as international issues taking place.

Congressman Dan Bishop's family has hailed for generations from Bladen County, in the eastern end of North Carolina, but he was born in Charlotte, and now lives in Waxhaw, NC. Dan brings to the House an impressive background in policy-making, legal work, and commitment to Conservative North Carolina values.

In the General Assembly, Dan fought to keep North Carolina families safe from dangerous sanctuary city policy. He cut taxes, limited spending, reduced family healthcare costs, invested in public schools, expanded school choice, raised teacher pay, safeguarded the Second Amendment, passed Voter ID, fought to protect life, cut regulations and helped North Carolina's economy create hundreds of thousands of new jobs.

Jeff Tarte, former Cornelius Mayor and North Carolina State Senator, will emcee the program. Tarte is the 2023 Public Policy Chair of the Chamber.

Focus Friday is a public policy program of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce which examines community and legislative issues from multiple perspectives. While intended for Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce members and community leaders, guests are welcome.

The program is presented by Novant Health - Huntersville Medical Center and sponsored by Business Today and WSIC 105.9 FM. The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, with approximately 850 business members, represents the Huntersville, Davidson, Cornelius, and greater Lake Norman regional business community.
