Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair
Practicing over 20 years of “Crawlology”, Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair continues to grow by focusing on one simple goal: giving families peace of mind.
“We do this by repairing, strengthening, and protecting their homes for the long term,” said Chris Jones, owner of the business. “Whether it’s structural repair, foundation stabilization, waterproofing, fungal remediation, encapsulation, or even garage lintel repair, our goal is to make homes safer, healthier, and more durable.”
Every project begins with a free estimate, during which a Falcone consultant often crawls under the home, takes photos, and measures humidity and wood moisture levels. From there, the consultant develops a customized repair plan and reviews every detail with the homeowner.
“We pride ourselves on offering an honest assessment without any high-pressure sales tactics,” Chris said. “If we can provide multiple options, we always do. Some clients just want to address immediate safety concerns or pass a home inspection, while others want to safeguard their home for generations. We work with each homeowner to meet their needs, budget, and timeline.”
Repairs can vary widely in cost, from a few thousand dollars to major structural overhauls, but the company helps ease the burden by breaking projects into phases or offering financing options through trusted partners. “Repairs like these are rarely covered by insurance because they develop over time,” Chris explained. “That’s why the sooner homeowners address them, the less they’ll ultimately have to spend.”
Once the work is approved, Falcone’s process is designed to minimize disruption. The team schedules projects about a month out, handles all necessary permits, debris removal, and any coordination with third-party trades such as electricians or plumbers. Most of the time, homeowners can stay in their homes during the project.
When work is complete, the crew leader conducts a final walkthrough and often invites the homeowner to see the repairs firsthand. They also recommend annual maintenance to keep systems like dehumidifiers, drains, and sump pumps in top shape.
The company only partners with neutral third-party structural engineers when needed to avoid any conflict of interest. All technicians are full-time employees, called “Crawlogists,” who are trained in-house to uphold Falcone’s exacting standards. “We’re licensed general contractors in both North and South Carolina, and we always pull permits when required,” Chris said. “Our experienced, local crew leaders are craftsmen who’ve been doing this work for years. That’s why people trust us.”
Owned by Chris and his wife, the business operates without investors or outside backing. “All customer money stays right here in North Carolina,” Chris said. “Our mission is to strengthen and preserve the homes in our neighborhoods.”
That philosophy extends to fair pricing and fair pay. Falcone pays its crew leaders the best salaries in the industry and therefore gets the best quality work.
The company has expanded to include preventative and complementary solutions such as encapsulation. It seals the crawl space to control humidity, improve air quality, and prevent fungal growth; it can even improve a home’s energy efficiency.
Some jobs, however, test the team’s skill and determination more than others, such as a project at an old Christmas tree farm north of Charlotte that required building 140 feet of new CMU foundation wall on a steep mountain property.
“Two of our team members had to spend an entire day digging a tunnel for access because there was only about a foot of clearance,” Chris said. “We had two crews, six guys total, working on the project, and our leadership team visited beforehand to plan every step. It took careful coordination, but we finished on time and to the homeowner’s complete satisfaction.”
