Radio Host & Sales Associate

Location: Lake Norman Area (Hybrid)

10 hrs/week in studio 20 hrs/week remote

WSIC is seeking a dynamic, community-driven Radio Host & Sales Associate to host a daily WSIC radio show while building a personal book of business across our growing media platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes Lake Norman, thrives on connection, and understands how on-air presence and community visibility translate into meaningful business relationships.

Location & Work Structure

Must live in the Lake Norman area or surrounding communities

Position is hybrid, but on-site presence is required at our Cornelius, NC studio for a minimum of 10 hours/week. 

Daily in-studio hosting and local community engagement are essential to this role

What You’ll Do

On-Air & Community Presence

Host a daily WSIC radio show focused on Lake Norman news, people, and businesses

Represent WSIC at community events, remotes, interviews, and on-location broadcasts

Build strong relationships with local business owners, leaders, and organizations

Use your on-air presence to highlight local stories and strengthen community connections

Sales & Business Development

Build and manage your own book of business through relationships developed on-air and in the community

Sell integrated advertising and sponsorship opportunities across:

WSIC Radio

Lake Norman Woman Magazine

Live Work Play Lake Norman

Identify new prospects and grow long-term advertiser partnerships

Collaborate with WSIC’s sales and digital teams on customized marketing solutions

Who We’re Looking For

Passion for the Lake Norman community and local storytelling

Confident, engaging communicator with strong on-air presence

Natural connector with a relationship-driven approach to sales

Entrepreneurial, self-motivated mindset

Comfortable representing the brand both on-air and in public settings

Media, sales, or marketing experience is a plus (but personality and drive matter most)

Compensation

Base salary + commission

Commission is tied directly to the book of business you build and manage
