Position Summary:
The Assistant Operations Manager at Proline Parking Lot Maintenance, Inc. plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. The Assistant Operations Manager partners with the Operations Manager and field teams to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and uphold safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
Plan and coordinate daily operations with a clear focus on prioritizing tasks to align with mission objectives.
Take ownership of resource allocation, scheduling, and adherence to project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed within budget and to client satisfaction.
Oversee inventory management to maintain operational readiness, addressing supply needs proactively and effectively.
Actively contribute to daily pavement maintenance projects, leading from the front and setting a strong example.
Leadership and Empowerment
Demonstrate Extreme Ownership by taking full responsibility for team performance, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all levels.
Empower crew leaders and team members by decentralizing command and enabling them to make decisions within their areas of responsibility.
Lead team training initiatives in safety protocols, equipment usage, and company procedures, reinforcing a standard of excellence and continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of open communication, ensuring every team member’s voice is heard while maintaining alignment with overall goals.
Quality Control and Customer Experience
Conduct routine site inspections, leveraging a detached perspective to ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
Proactively address and resolve client concerns, owning outcomes and building trust through effective problem-solving and follow-through.
Use After Action Reviews (AARs) to evaluate performance, implement lessons learned, and continuously improve client satisfaction and service delivery.
Administrative and Analytical Support
Maintain accurate records for project details, team hours, and equipment usage, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall mission and vision.
Prepare reports on operational performance, providing actionable insights to leadership and aligning metrics with strategic objectives.
Assist the Operations Manager in refining and enforcing company policies and procedures, ensuring clarity and adherence across teams.
Safety Leadership
Promote a culture of discipline and adherence to OSHA standards and company-specific safety protocols.
Identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring a safe environment for all team members.
Lead by example in all safety practices, reinforcing their importance to both team well-being and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Core Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old (due to insurance and liability requirements).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Eligibility to operate company vehicles based on driving history and company insurance policies.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management or a related field, preferably within construction, maintenance, or similar industries.
OSHA 10 Certification (required within 90 days if not already certified).
Skills and Competencies
Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead and coordinate effectively across teams and clients.
Skilled in making decisions, solving problems, and delivering results through a proactive and resourceful approach.
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms) and scheduling software.
Familiarity with equipment and materials used in parking lot maintenance or related industries.

Physical and Operational Requirements
Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment safely.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings, as operational needs dictate.
Experience driving trucks and trailers (Preferred)
