Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Diversity Council has selected an outstanding lineup of powerful women sharing their stories of success. There will also be team building and networking opportunities. $75pp includes program, a hosted bar, lunch, snacks, swag bag and priceless connections.  Professional Development: Take this opportunity to invest in yourself and your staff! Doors open at 8:15am for coffee and networking, program 9am-3pm.

Enjoy the All-Day Beverage Station with coffee, hot teas, iced tea, water, and soft drinks replenished through-out the day. 

Lunch: Pecan-Crusted Chicken Breast, seasonal vegetables,  whole grain mustard sauce, and mashed potatoes, with dinner rolls. Dessert: Chocolate flourless cake ganache, raspberry sauce, Chantilly cream.

Our guest speakers for the day are Dawne Kakitsis, Director of Fundraising & Marketing for Smithville CommUNITY Coalition. Dawne will be a guest speaker as well as our Emcee for the day! 

Dawne Kakitsis joined the Smithville Community Coalition staff in 2022. As Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Dawne is responsible for strategizing and successfully executing our communications and marketing strategy, fundraising initiatives, and donor support. Dawne’s degree in Education from Ohio University served her well as she worked as the Director of Education, Director of Business Development, and VP of Operations for learning centers during her educational career. Dawne’s career then focused on independent business consulting and marketing for small businesses. Dawne consulted with Global Minds United through marketing and community outreach. Dawne worked on fundraising efforts and sponsorships with independent businesses and nonprofits throughout her career. She served on the board of directors for Unity in Community (UiC) and is an active volunteer on the Communication and Education Committees with UiC. Dawne currently lives in Cornelius, North Carolina with her husband and their two children. 

Guest Speaker Briana Blair.

A master of her mindset, Briana Blair is a marketing professional and motivational speaker helping individuals who have a desire to reach their fullest potential in the areas of relationships and personal growth. 

From “Why me?” to “Why not me?” Briana coaches those who are ready to step into a new version of themselves through the power of adopting a growth mindset. She does this by challenging others to get outside of their comfort zone, expand their network and build new habits that ultimately lead to one’s best!

Guest Speaker Kimberly Coleman. 

With over 20 years’ experience in education, training, insurance and comedy, Kim Coleman brings a unique perspective of what it means to understand the well-being of women. Kim has traveled the country, and internationally, speaking at women’s ministry conferences, corporate engagement meetings and training events. She’s had the pleasure of speaking at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX, North Carolina Girl Scout Conferences, North Carolina Teachers Association. State conferences include Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Corporate clients include Bank of America, BP Oil, Coca-Cola, Lowe’s Home Improvement, just to name a few. As of late, Coleman has delved into insurance with Fogle Insurance Group and Laughter Yoga. Listen, learn, and laugh with Kim.

Our KEYNOTE speaker: Kerry Ann Tornesello, Founder of Engage Coaching, LLC.

 Kerry Ann Tornesello is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and the founder of Engage Coaching, LLC.  As a Strengths and Confidence coach, Kerry guides her clients to develop their natural talents into strengths that empower them to be impactful.  She specializes in working with managers and teams at small businesses to ensure the right people are doing the right things to improve engagement and job retention.  She also coaches parents of young adults and high school students to release the fear, doubt and worry they have about their child’s future while working with their Gen Z child to unleash their potential and build their self-confidence so they make good choices.
