The Town of Cornelius Parks & Recreation Department is excited to welcome you to the Grand Opening Ceremony of the newly renovated Legion Park Playground on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10 a.m. Join us as we celebrate the completion of this much-anticipated community project—a space designed for kids to explore, play, and make lasting memories!

Bring your family, friends, and coworkers to experience the unveiling of this vibrant new playground. Special guests from Cornelius Elementary School will help us “break it in” with joy and laughter, marking a fun-filled start to a new chapter for Legion Park.

📍 Location: Legion Park, 21214 Legion Street, Cornelius, NC
🚗 Parking: Available along Legion Street, near the shelter, and at the American Legion Post 86 building lot (21215 Legion Street).
