Lake Norman Diversity Council Meeting

The Lake Norman Chamber Diversity Council was formed in 2008 and is responsible for a number of programs. The mission of the Council is to aid small, minority and women business-owners and address any unique needs or issues; promote community involvement; host the Annual Lake Norman Region Women’s Conference; host forum(s) in collaboration with Central Piedmont Community College for Chamber Members and Community Citizens on diversity issues which impact race, culture, sexual identity, and other factors impacting our community and region; and host the Annual Diversity Luncheon. This is an open meeting all are welcome to attend.

This meeting's speaker will be Tracy Mattison Brandon who is a Town Commissioner for the Town of Davidson! 

Tracy Mattison Brandon is currently serving in her first term as a Town of Davidson Commissioner. With over 35 years of experience serving in leadership, community involvement, and ministry, she possesses a strong commitment to bridging generational, ethnic, and social divides. Tracy earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministries from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. She currently serves as an Associate Minister at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Davidson and as a campus staff minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Davidson College. Tracy is a community advocate and servant leader who believes in community engagement, collaboration, and empowerment. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Tracy currently resides in Davidson, North Carolina with her husband, Marvin Brandon. Together, they have five children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
