Focus Friday is a public policy program of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce that examines community and legislative issues from multiple perspectives. Held monthly, these events feature discussions led by local leaders, policymakers, and experts on topics such as economic development, public safety, and community planning. Focus Friday provides a platform for members and guests to engage in meaningful dialogue, gain insights into regional initiatives, and stay informed about matters affecting the Lake Norman area. The program is presented by Novant Health - Huntersville Medical Center and sponsored by Business Today and WSIC 105.9 FM. While intended for Lake Norman Chamber members and community leaders, guests are welcome to attend.

Our region continues to grow at a rapid pace, and with that growth comes both opportunity and responsibility. Join us for a special Focus Friday as we welcome the mayors of North Mecklenburg—Woody Washam of Cornelius, Rusty Knox of Davidson, and Christy Clark of Huntersville—for a candid and collaborative discussion on the pressing issues facing our towns and the business community.

This engaging forum will cover key topics including the proposed FY25–26 municipal budgets, major capital investments, transportation and infrastructure priorities, and strategic efforts to manage growth while preserving the unique character of each town. Attendees will gain firsthand insight into how our local leaders are working to shape a more connected, business-friendly, and sustainable future across North Mecklenburg.
