The Town of Cornelius Parks & Recreation Department has once again partnered with the Smithville CommUNITY Coalition to host the Town's annual Black History Month celebration. This celebration will feature three special presentations: HEARTS Park vision, Potts Barber Shop Historic Designation, and artwork by Gil Horne Jr. There will also be live musical performances, children's activities, and sketch artist Maurice Caldwell. Following the event, attendees will be encouraged to walk across the street for the installation of Potts Barber Shop's historic landmark plaque.
